This wine recovers a tradition that wants the red grapes of the island suitable for the production of wines with an intense color but "easy" to drink. The grapes belong to the Piedirosso and Guarnaccia varieties from different areas of Forio. The vinification is minimally invasive and respectful of the tannic characteristics of the varieties: short maceration of the skins, racking and fermentation at a controlled temperature. The product obtained is of an intense ruby color, vinous, fruity, with a good alcohol content and body. We recommend pairing with traditional rabbit-based dishes and, thanks to a pinch of audacity, with stewed fish.
